Byron Sorrells

Hi.  I’m Byron Sorrells.  I’m a co-founding partner of Healthcare Connect, Inc. and Five Times Too, LLC.

My full name is John Byron Sorrells.  People often respond to that with, “Oh! So your real name is John.”  I’m usually pretty confused by this.  As far as I know, John, Byron, and Sorrells are all three real.  I like my name.  John was my grandfather’s first name.  John Lester Utley.  He died when I was 12, but as far as I can remember and from what I can gather, he was pretty great.  I actually don’t know why my parents chose Byron, but I love it.  I think I’ve only met another Byron once or twice.  Most people say Brian at first, but I’ve learned to forgive them.  Sorrells, pronounced like the horse (but with an ‘s’ on the end), is also a nice, unique name.  I wish I knew more about the lineage of my family tree.

I live in New York City at the moment.  Being from Texas, it’s quite a different pace.  I’m used to it after being here for more than four years.  The moves went like this:

8. Brooklyn, NY
9. Spring, TX
10. Brooklyn, NY

Just writing that out makes me exhausted and less interested in moving again anytime soon.

I set this website up so that I could write about myself, work, and life.  I think it might actually morph into something useful one day.
